Francis D’Urso’s love for food can be traced well before earning the title of U.S. Marine or Attorney at Law. It was during his childhood when Fran's mother Anna first influenced his passion for cuisine and initially taught him the joy of cooking and passion for creating great dishes and flavors.

In addition to creating IFS.com, Fran’s many culinary accomplishments include creating "Anna's Simply Italian" line of pasta sauces and involvement in several restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream parlors. Francis is also regarded for introducing Italian cuisine to the North Carolina culture where he opened restaurants.
